2017 Seas-Doo SPARK TRIXX Review

Looking for a new 2017 Sea-Doo SPARK TRIXX to shred the lakes and rivers with this summer? Then look no further!

At Tousley Motorsports, we've been all about "sellin' fun since '71," but ultimately, we want to get you onto the right Sea-Doo, at the right price. To help you with your search, here is our review of the 2017 Sea-Doo SPARK TRIXX.

2017 Sea-Doo SPARK TRIXX General Equipment Overview

Pulling off tricks has never been this simple thanks to the SPARK TRIXX. With a Rotax 900 HO ACE engine, this is easily the most adrenaline-pumping personal watercraft on the water for 2017. The advanced electronic Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC™) system starts you in neutral for easier dockside starts and includes a Touring and Sport mode to accommodate your riding style. The result is a more responsive and thrilling ride.

If stopping is important to you (as it should be), the SPARK includes an Intelligent Brake & Reverse (iBR) system so you can stop sooner, avoiding more "close calls." The SPARK TRIXX's electronic reverse will also make it easier to dock after a long day of riding on the lakes.

As some Minnesota lakes have decibel restrictions, the innovative D-Sea-BeI™ system has you covered. This system combines several resonators and vibration-absorbing components to make it one of the quietest on the water, even when you're going full bore.

The SPARK TRIXX also comes with a limited, 1 year warranty.

Sea-Doo SPARK Overview

The features on the 2017 Sea-Doo SPARK TRIXX are also pretty impressive. The Exoskel™ keeps only the vital structural parts in the front section of the watercraft and cuts down on the weight to make the Spark a lighter ride. But don't worry, it isn't flimsy. The high-impact Polytec™ material is made of recyclable, low-density material that is designed for the hull and deck to maintain its form under stress.

As for the SPARK's "brains," the iControl integrates and controls the Touring and Sport modes as they're designed for different riding styles. The Touring mode is the default setting that utilizes progressive acceleration while the Sport mode provides a more aggressive throttle response. That is then paired with the Off-Throttle Assisted Steering system (O.T.A.S.®) which provides improved steering in off-throttle situations for better maneuverability.

So What Makes a SPARK a SPARK TRIXX?

To start, the Trixx package includes a handlebar that comes with an adjustable riser so you can move the handlebar up to 150 mm higher than the regular SPARK. This allows for an easier ride and makes it easier to pull off tricks in the water. In addition to the handlebar risers, the step wedges are angled for more stability so you can more confidently shift your weight to the rear of the watercraft and use your feet to maneuver.

Speaking of adjustments, the TRIXX comes with an extended range Variable Trim System (VTS) that adjusts the nozzle and changes the TRIXX's behavior and its ability to stay parallel with the water. The system on the TRIXX has double the range of the regular VTS for the SPARK so you can raise the nose higher or bury it deeper in the water, making it easy to perform tricks for all of the beach-goers to see!
